RDF and the Semantic Web

For those of you who are up on the latest and greatest in web stuff, you can probably skip this post.

But for those of you who may be slipping (for whatever reason, we don’t judge here at UsableMarkets), and are still under the impression that RIAs are the latest and greatest thing on the internet, perhaps you should take the 8 1/2 minutes required to view this video of Tim Berners-Lee discussing the semantic web

An important concept here (other than the BIG idea, which is pretty great) is the language that actualizes the semantic web. This is RDF (or Resource Description Framework, for those who must know what the TLA stands for).
